Spruce...
Typically cut, dead standing, which provides a
dry product to minimize shrinkage. Product is not machine
peeled prior to hand peeling. Resulting in knot bumps, more
taper and less consistency. Spruce has large cracks and
splits, lending to a rougher, rustic appearance. |

Ponderosa Pine...
Machine peeled prior to hand peeling to minimize
taper and provide a more consistent product. Less checking and
splitting than Spruce and Douglas Fir. |

Diameter is based on top size, thus
the butts are large. Vigas are hand peeled jut prior to shipping to
provide the cleanest possible product, therefore, allow time particularly
for special orders.
Pine & Spruce.....
Stock sizes: Diameters 6" through 12" in 2"
increments. Larger diameters available on special order basis.
Lengths 8'-24' in 2' increments. Longer lengths available on special
order basis.
